May as well stop celebrating goals and wait for a decision. Sport has always been about controversy and polemic decisions. This crap just makes it more and more boring and sanitised.

Exactly. With VAR, that moment of instant euphoria is taken away. Human error is part of football. Every player on the pitch makes mistakes, as do the officials. It’s all part of what makes football so unpredictable, so spontaneous. Yes, referees get it wrong sometimes. Yes, after the game... Читать дальше...

Amazing men - Went without a complaint

If any government told you to go and fight a war what would be the response today.

I know I may come across as a dick a lot but I have to say this. They are incredible heroes and I'm awestruck by what they did and potentially sacrificed. As I get older I feel it more and more.

That said I bet loads complained like f*ck and rightfully so. I can't accept your assumption nor your assumption about modern youth. Читать дальше...

Great thread.

My grandad Cecil (named after General Cecil Foch, French hero of the Great war) fought in Market Garden and in the allied counter attack after going a bridge too far. His brother Lance was a hot dog vendor outside St Andrews and wasn't the sharpest tool in the box. My grandad bumped into him during close fighting with the Germans in a churchyard. Both survived.

My grandad's other brother Sid was a 'D-Day Dodger' and fought at both Anzio and the... Читать дальше...

I think with the way things go for blues, I can say with some belief that jota will be a world beater at villa.

I still absolutely despise the bloke and have done all season

However, whatever the scum do always ends up in getting one over on us...

It would be typical of blues that gardener gets a season long injury in the first minute of the opening season game and jota gets the golden boot

Just saying
