The White Swan, Digbeth

Small Heath Alliance

Save our Swan!

The iconic White Swan in Digbeth, a popular haunt of Blues fans on matchday, has been closed for some time, and is danger of no longer being a pub!
Members of the Birmingham branch of CAMRA (the Campaign for Real Ale) are asking fans of BCFC whether they would be interested in joining a short protest march on a Saturday before a home game, starting at another fans' favourite pub, The Anchor, to the White Swan, with banners aloft and the song 'Keep White Swan at the... When Saturday Comes (no replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Looks like it really needs some urgent cash to keep going. Be a massive shame if it had to close, some brilliant content online going from way back yonder up to the present day, this being a peice I've just read about Beni Carbone for example:

Even reading that it's funny how times change. If Wednesday did a harmless photo shoot like that with two Italian signings nowadays they'd get pelters. Btw, reading what Danny Wilson said about him; manager after my own heart he is.

St Andrews could be replaced, and I’m not too fussed if it wasn’t in the same place tbh.

The only ground I’ve been too that I really despise is West Ham’s council house.

Super Hans

I think you’d have to be mad to want to replace Pedersen

It cost us a lot of points to get him in ;-)

No idea Meadey! Did you have a couple of beers by any chance? ????

Old vs New

Small Heath Alliance

I just started to watch documentary about White Hart Lane (haven't actually focused to it as this question came to my mind immediately)

I'm just curious about your opinions on these new stadiums some clubs are putting up. (West Ham, Tottenham, Arsenal etc.)

I have visited Upton Park, Elland Road and St.Andrews and I loved every one of them, mainly because the atmosphere were just as it seemed to be in my imagination.
It seems to me that some of these new stadiums are really plastic and boring. Читать дальше...

Working hours help...

Small Heath Alliance

Sorry on a match day to post this but need some help/advice and I’m happy as it’s the weekend to be told to feck off until Monday for a reply!!!
Been working nights 8-4 for 9 years.
Been told tonight that as from January I’m needed to work 3am until 12 midday.
As well as being an extra hours work, as it’s 9 hours instead of 8, can I refuse these hours and if I do then can I be released or do I get redundancy?
I’ve also been told that my wage will stay the same but I’ll get a longer break? Читать дальше...

I had completely forgotten about Mceachran

Re: Naaarch

Tonight felt like I was watching a championship game, think they are both in trouble although Watford at least have a couple of decent players amongst them. It is really hard to see past them, Norwich and Saints as the 3 for the trap door already.

Re: Graingers Son

No blame attached to him for any of the goals.

The Reverend

You're gonna lose 20 quid.

I'd say it's 50/50.

What I would say is that unless he plays like Pele and Maradona combined in the next few months he has little chance of playing in the Euros next year, even if he gets a call up next March.

Re: Adam Legzdins...

I was gonna say. It was about 3.5million if Burnley paid us in Pakistani Rupees.

Blimey. They're looking like a candidate to be one of the worst Premiership teams ever. Right down there with the likes of Vile 2016, Derby 2006 and Sunderland 2008. Them and Southampton look to be down already and it's only November.
