I saw my first Blues match in 1971, and it was the Clifford Coombs era. Since then I've witnessed the Keith Coombs era, the Ken Wheldon era, the Kumars, the Gollivans, the Carson Yeung era, and this current lot. How do these eras compare? Best and worst?

And me.
I know most on here will only know Derby fans from your visits there with Blues on away days, you know, that sneering, arrogant, very angry at everything, entitled bunch that they are at home.

Well let me tell you, it's not only on match days Derby people are like that.

Erik Alonso was linked with us for a short while too.

Under what capacity? Advisor or a misguided attempt to buy the club?

I can't recall us ever been linked with anyone that looked like a safe custodian. Even when Ernst and Young were looking for buyers.
What makes you think Erik Alonso would prove to be a "safe custodian"?
I don't. I implied the opposite.
My apologies if I misunderstood you.

The Three Day Week Football (3 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

One of the strangest games I ever went to at Stans was the 5th Round of the league cup on Wednesday 19 December 1973 witch I think was a 2.00pm kick off. We were in the miners strike period and due to the tree day week no electric for floodlights was available. I must have had the afternoon off collage and we lost to Division 3 Plymouth A 2-1. Not a bad crowd of 15273 for Wednesday afternoon. There were good few from Plymouth as I remember.

The lads are back in a buoyant mood as they look back and discuss the games over the Easter period. There's also plenty of time to talk about the latest off field news including the stadium, the transfer embargo and the current issues surrounding the women's team. Financial Armageddon screamed the headline. Ten clubs under a transfer embargo with the EFL, of which Birmingham City was one. The article from the Daily Mail appears to have gone, but the backlash hasnt, with Coventry City, Luton Town and Cardiff City all issuing statements refuting the story. Was

Was the last time we won a competitive fixture by more than 1 goal.

3-1 against Bristol City and had they not scored an own goal, we would need to look as far back as the win against Barnsley on 20th August 2019.
