As someone who lives in Devon I would have loved to have been in Tavvy for the pre-tour show. sadly, I'm not able to stand for 2 hours at the moment, so never mind. Very sad at Alan's passing - I saw Yes in Colmar, France, in 1977 and he was a key member of the group at the time.
I don't know if you're aware of the Daily Doug on YouTube, but Doug did a lovely tribute to him on Friday, including the Yessongs live version of Close to the Edge.

I couldn't see a post about this, the Yes drummer since the early 70's has passed away aged 72. He hadn't played much in recent times because of failing health. Jay Schellen had been doing most of it. Sadly he was due to guest on the forthcoming Close to the Edge anniversary tour. The band have announced that the tour will now be dedicated to him.
He was a very underrated drummer, but for me, a superb one. When you listen to Yes from Close to the Edge onwards, he provided not just rhythm support, but filled the sound. Читать дальше...

I looked into it but it was just to expensive for me, tickets would of been no problem through the ESTC.
The unclear way and cost of booking accommodation via FIFA and the lack of clarity over alcohol also put pay to it, simply put I just can’t afford it.
Having said I have booked Milan for the NL game today and going to Munich in a weeks time.
