By which I mean what show did you think was brilliant only to be let down by a second, third, or fourth series/season?
Mine is Westworld. I thought the first series was a masterclass in great scriptwriting. The twist/reveal blew my mind and I was fascinated to find out where it would all lead. The second season lost its way a little but was still entertaining but the third was an abomination that left the entire premise behind. I can't even bother with the fourth.

I live in a 1930’s semi detached and noticing a lot of noise from the neighbours of late. They have a plasma screen on the chimney breast we share that reverberates into our lounge and up into the bedroom above. Noise seems to travel though the entire house at the minute and it needs something doing about it. Have asked them to turn it down but that lasted all of an hour.
Has anyone done a good job of sound proofing a connecting wall/chimney/flooring to cut out similar sounds please? Читать дальше...

First game in 67. While there have been seasons where it has been more enjoyable. There has been no golden era. An entire existence in the doldrums. Don’t regret a minute of it.
At my age there is an increasing tendency to reflect.
This is my 65th season so I thought I would analyse the previous 64.
It was a little surprising to discover that only 27 of those were at the top level and 33 in the second tier, 4 in the third.
In my time we have had seven ownership regimes and none of them have ever succeeded in establishing us at the top.
So even if we rid ourselves of this current lot I can't help but feel that the future may not be all that different, at least on the pitch. Читать дальше...
