Re: Jeacock
What a shame, was very highly thought of in the England youth system.

I'd buy one. Maybe donate some proceeds to British heart foundation.
As the club recently released some retro kits I wondered what people would think if they released the penguin kit, perhaps with a number 8 on back but on a much bigger scale.
Would you think
A) it was good idea and you'd buy one
or
B) it's a bit tacky and cashing in on the death of our favourite son
Pitch perfect Jon. I'm just a tad younger, so maybe prime age to idolise Trev and maybe that's why it's taken me a day or so to feel like commenting. Spoke to my parents (now in their 90's) on hearing the news and, while dad's memory is generally a bit wonky these days, he still gushed as he so clearly recalled the trademark TF shoulder drop and diagonal run from out wide. He also remembers a game against West Ham with Brooking repeatedly shouting "watch Francis!" to his team mates.

Whilst I was at the Trevor Francis memorial I called in to the Ticket Office and picked up my 23/24 season ticket.
I got a nice little package with it. A little leatherette credit card holder and a metal/enamel(?) club badge.

The squad's legs are currently, full of the requisite minutes and the clock doesn't start again till Saturday.
Seems odd we have not managed to fit in a midweek friendly before our final one Saturday. Anybody know if we've got a behind closed doors game at all?
What an adventure that will be for the kid. Good luck to him.
Just noticed he’s said he’s leaving Forest for a new “chapter “ in his career. He’s only 24 and always looked a real handful whenever I’ve watched him over last season or two. Could be a decent striker option for us. Thoughts ?
Latest Birmingham City news from BirminghamLive includes planned tributes to Trevor Francis

Support from the football community has been widespread and enduring. Kenny Burns, a hard man at Forest, has been a regular caller. Only his former employers when he managed Birmingham City — David Sullivan and Karren Brady — did not reach out.
‘No call, no e-mail,’ he writes in the book. ‘It’s absolutely disgusting’.
Thanks for sharing this; one of a few lovely pieces that I’ve read over the last couple of days, beautifully capturing the essence of what he meant to so many of us.

Affers who originally set up J&S, sent this wonderful tribute to TF to me today. I hope you enjoy it.

When?
A week Wednesday
Chip on shoulder. The next three whole paragraphs are about Blues.
Have they paid any tributes to TF that I have missed?
