It's February the contracts expire in June so TM and CG can plot the summer revolution, get the signings done early for a full preseason starting the third of July.

Birmingham City want to sign another goalkeeper before tonight’s 11pm deadline after number one John Ruddy picked up an injury.
A target has been identified but Tony Mowbray isn’t likely to add another player to his ranks without a departure. And Blues are struggling to offload those deemed surplus-to-requirements by Mowbray.

Ruddys injury isn’t serious I think, will only miss a couple or few games. We do need to move on from both though in the summer, or keep Ruddy as a backup.
