Re: Soho road crash

Small Heath Alliance

I think I’m ne of the that approves of the 20 mph limit in built up areas in Wales.

Just been reading about a young Celtic, previously Rangers player. Had been a bad egg for years before eventually killing a young kid whil driving drunk. Fled the scene, after the kid was dragged 20 yards up the road, then immediately began abusing his ex. Denied all knowledge repeatedly when he had his collar felt.

Got 6 years.

It’s in The Athletic for those who subscribe.

Re: Best 11

James over Bacuna for me, Tom.

Bacuna & Dembele off the bench has worked well.

Best 11

Small Heath Alliance

Was looking back at a thread earlier from the year and thought it was interesting how different my own starting 11 would look now compared to previously. Interested to see how other now see our best 11 with Mowbrays style and our new signings.

I’d go with:

Ruddy

Laird
Sanderson
Bielik
Buchanan

Dozzell
Paik

Miyoshi
Pritchard
Bacuna ( ideally don’t want him in this position but feel he has to get into the team... Читать дальше...

Who is there to come through? Laiith Fairnie? Rico Browne?

There's no obvious new talent

Tommy Fogarty has been in the travelling squad once or twice i think

maybe we really are signing Tanguy Nianzou

Re: I'm your Venus, I'm your fire, at your desire

It should galvanise the squad, but we’ve also seen some of this squad fold when things change.

It’s going to be an uncertain period for us. Hopefully we can get some good crowds for our home matches and get them over the line with our backing

Obviously, we all wish big Tony a speedy recovery. I have been wondering, how much do we know about Mark Venus?

I am hoping we can just get over the line this season now. However, we saw with Rooney what can happen when this squad drop off (pretty disastrous).

Are we assuming we will be fine now and what is the plan if we were to go into another nosedive while Tony is away? Would we appoint a caretaker manager? It is quite an unusual situation.

Re: Jan Sorensen

Absolutely lovely fella, i'm wracking brains as to where i met him but wasn't that long ago, no ego at all and was only because someone else said who he was (other than just Jan) did we get to chat about his career.

There’s not another thread then?
If not I’m surprised at the lack of replies from the over 45’s especially

Council must sell 1.25bn of assets to repay loan

According to the BBC: [www.bbc.co.uk]#

Whilst asset list is yet to be confirmed, hopefully Wheels Park is on the list, and Wagner / Knighthood are on the case.

Makes sense why they went for outline planning permission, to increase the value, most likely anticipating this kind of direction from the Commissioners at some point?

Re: Belfast

Small Heath Alliance

Was there just over a month ago, great city to be fair the people are great.
If you are traveling around there is the glider I would recommend to use, head to Stormont and further up to peace walls.
Titanic museum was closed when we went due to storm damage, assume it may be open again now.
The market is pretty good for food, and also Actons the restaurant. Book ahead if there are restaurants you want to head to. The area Actons is in is nice with some ace bars. The Crown is quite... Читать дальше...

RIP. Cardiac Arrest, only 63. Superb player. 2 footed m, lovely on the ball.
Really does make me realise I’m lucky.
Apologies if there’s another thread I’ve missed

Belfast

Small Heath Alliance

No, not the Boney M banger, the city in Northern Ireland.

My lad is Titanic daft, absolutely obsessed with it, so I was thinking of taking him to the Titanic Experience in Belfast during the school holidays.

Anyone been, is it worth it? Is staying at the Titanic hotel itself worth the money?

Any other recommendations for whilst we're there for the weekend? Bearing in mind we'll have a 6 and 1 year old with us so not really going to be boozing.
