Milestone Season Continues For Regular Season Champion Johnny Sauter

Johnny Sauter secured his fifth win of the 2018 season Thursday night at Bristol Motor Speedway to claim the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) Regular Season Championship and the top spot in the NCWTS Playoff field heading into next Sunday’s race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. The victory is Sauter’s 22nd win in the series, placing him in a tie with two-time NCWTS champion Todd Bodine for fifth on the NCWTS all-time wins list.

Tire Issues Force Stenhouse to Settle for a 24th-Place Finish at Bristol

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was solidly running in the top 15 when a cut right front tire derailed his day. Over the 500 laps, Stenhouse had multiple tire issues forcing him to settle with a 24th-place finish in Saturday night’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) race at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Busch secures playoff spot with the win at Bristol

Kurt Busch held off Kyle Larson in the final 13 laps and won Saturday nights Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway and secured a 2018 NASCAR Playoff spot. This was his first win of the season, sixth win at Bristol and ended a 58-race winless streak.

Strong Run Ends in Frustration for Truex Jr. at Bristol

The Bristol Motor Speedway hard luck continued for Martin Truex Jr. in Saturday’s Bass Pro Shops/NRA Night Race. While running a close second with 67 laps remaining in the 500-lap race at the half-mile short track, Truex’s day took a premature ending when he spun and hit the wall as a result of getting clipped by the No. 18 car (Kyle Busch). He was credited with a 30th-place finish.
