“I didn’t get a real good sense how practice went from any of my guys. Overall, just saw that he was at the top of the sheets first practice. That is always kind of difficult to tell sometimes how that exactly happens. I think they made a mock run at the end of first practice so I think that is what put them up there. “It’s definitely a change of mindset. It’s kind of going back, I feel like quite a while now since we’ve done this and it’s just a dramatic change in just the way you approach it mentally. You get one shot at it now. You work through practice and you do everything you can to make one fast lap – you only need one fast lap, not three like we used to with three rounds. “The first time would have been the 2016 Truck race. It is very unique. There is not a race track out here like it. The way the transitions are from the straightaways to the corners, how narrow it is; it is a unique beast that is for sure.”

“This is my favorite race track by far that we go to all year. I’ve had a lot of success in the K&N Series – got two wins and was going to have three I felt like, but blew a motor the last time we ran here. Truck side of it, we’ve just had a lot of misfortunes happen. Last year I felt like we had a strong truck. We were running 10th and got taken out."

The ARCA Menards Series championship battle has heated up going into Saturday’s General Tire Music City 200 presented by Inspectra Thermal Solutions at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville. Leader Michael Self (No. 25 Sinclair Lubricants Toyota), driving for the powerhouse Venturini Motorsports organization, would seem to be the overwhelming favorite, but he has a slim five-point lead over second-place Travis Braden (No. 27 MatrixCare/Consonus Health Care/Liberty Village Ford) entering the season’s fifth race.
