Presidents Day has us thinking about the upcoming election season — not to mention the hotly contested debates and the inevitable onslaught of presidential memes, some of which are likely to be dangerously believable. Regardless of how you feel about politics, however, the holiday remains a great time to save, especially since many deals go beyond the... Читать дальше...

Our first official glimpse of Android 15 is here. It includes a lot of under-the-hood tweaks to strengthen communication between hardware and software — and it comes at a time when Google has been tightening its working relationship with frenemy Samsung. Focusing on the platform’s holistic health and working more closely with hardware partners makes a lot of sense. That’s especially true if the goal is to compete with the... Читать дальше...

Remember Tommy Tallarico? The famous video game composer who claimed he created Roblox’s infamous “oof” sound effect, then got into a legal dispute with the game’s developers asking for an unspecified amount of money for continued use of the sound effect? Eventually, the matter was settled, and ultimately, Roblox removed the sound from the game entirely.

The return window is up for the folks who bought an Apple Vision Pro on day one, and a lot of folks have said they’re returning their $3,500 headset. Why does Apple make it so hard to share the Vision Pro?

The Verge

Shortly before The Verge published its review of the Apple Vision Pro, I put it on to sit for some photos. The review unit had been fitted for our editor-in-chief Nilay Patel, but I’d worn it a few times as a guest and had a surprisingly good experience. That afternoon, though, I foolishly decided to skip the typical guest setup, which involves about a minute of calibration for the Vision Pro’s eye-tracking cameras. I put the thing on, and it didn’t work at all. Читать дальше...
