Three people were injured as a result of an incident that occurred on the afternoon of April 29 during the "Battle Steel" festival in the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg - the state of emergency captured one of the eyewitnesses on the video. The organizers of the event arranged a ride of visitors on replicas of tanks of the Great Patriotic War. During one of these trips, several people who were on a copy of the T-60 tank could not resist and crashed right in front of him as the tank began to descend from a small sandy mound. A man has been charged with murder for allegedly attacking a 38-year-old woman with a screwdriver as she quietly sat on a bench at a Manhattan barber shop last week, authorities say. The Thursday attack and its aftermath were caught on surveillance footage too disturbing for NBC 4 New York to show in raw form. The video shows the man in a black jacket approach the woman as she sits on a bench in the Hamilton Heights shop, then violently attack her. A British woman allegedly held as a sex slave in Italy and raped repeatedly by three men managed to escape after calling her family for help. The woman, from the north of England, originally met Mamadou Jallow, a migrant from Burkina Faso, on Facebook and travelled with him to Rosarno, south-west Italy. But when she arrived, she was allegedly held her against her will, raped repeatedly and had her mobile phone taken away. Two more men, from Mali, also abused her at the house, it has been claimed. A six-year-old boy narrowly escaped being run over by a bus after he tripped over guardrails. CCTV video filmed in southern China's Chongqing on April 25 shows a boy running along the street suddenly tripping over guard rails and somersaulting onto the road just as a bus is passing. His mum climbs over the guardrails immediately and carries him back to the side of the road. The boy suffered minor leg injuries.

A weather watcher in Western Australia captured this spectacular time-lapse footage of recent monsoons. Geoff Green captured the footage over a series of days in March. It shows lightning storms and heavy rain and rainbows rolling over the sparsely populated Kimberley area, which lies in the north of the country. Elsewhere in the video, Green has captured lightning storms behind the clouds.

An out-of-control car crashed into pedestrians in southern China, killing one person. The dramatic dash-cam video, captured in Deyang City in Sichuan Province on April 1, shows a car hitting two trees on the side of the road with such force that they are knocked over. One passerby was struck and buried under the tree. According to local news, the car suddenly lost control after a tyre exploded. The pedestrian who died was an elderly woman, local media said. Police also said that driver fatigue was in part responsible.

Four people have died in the Swiss Alps and five others are in a serious conditions after bad weather forced them to spend a night outdoors in the Pigne d'Arolla area, police in the Swiss canton of Valais said in a statement on Monday. Rescuers found a total of 14 people, some of whom had hypothermia, while another had probably died as a result of a fall. They were taken by helicopter to hospitals in the area but three more died, the statement said. The hikers were Italian, French and German, the statement said.

All eyes in Brussels are on Washington as a 1st of May deadline looms - for the EU to win a reprieve from the Trump tariffs on steel and aluminium. The European Commissioner for Trade, has been speaking to US Commerce Secretary, Wilbur Ross. But a Commission spokesperson gave little away on the EU's position.
