Atlanta Hawks president of basketball operations Travis Schlenk is moving into a senior advisory role, the team announced, effective immediately. General manager Landry Fields will oversee basketball operations. Schlenk, 46, said in a statement he stepped down to prioritize family.

Amid the NBA’s G League Showcase, rival teams are monitoring the Chicago Bulls, Toronto Raptors, and Washington Wizards.

NBA personnel, including coaches, scouts, and general managers, as well as agents and media members have gathered once again in Las Vegas for the G League Showcase, which this year features draft prospects Leonard Miller and Mojave King, along with many other young players hoping for an NBA call-up.

Internally, the Knicks were well aware that things were teetering. Before this most recent winning streak, someone from the club reached out to the Toronto Raptors to ask about trading for OG Anunoby. That’s a trade that would come at a significant cost — it’s not a move you make unless you know you have to shake up your roster.
