The Washington Wizards have begun trade discussions with multiple teams centered on fourth-year forward Rui Hachimura, The Athletic has learned from league sources. Hachimura, who is set to become a restricted free agent in July, has drawn interest from several Western Conference teams in need of scoring, league sources said.

While Jaylen Brown has missed the past three games because of adductor tightness, the Celtics guard is nearing his return. Brown practiced Wednesday and went through drills, but he isn’t guaranteed to play in the Celtics’ game Thursday against the Warriors at TD Garden.

Boston has maintained an interest in Poeltl for several seasons now and is continuing to monitor his market, according to team sources who were granted anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly. The sticking point has been, as always, price.
