What this could do is motivate Miami. Talks between the Blazers and Heat have reportedly been dormant for some time. And, yes, Miami is certainly among the teams keeping an eye on Giannis Antetokounmpo’s situation in Milwaukee. But are the Heat really willing to, ahem, burn another season of Jimmy Butler in the hope that Giannis is available? When asked whether the busy offseason provided a welcome distraction from the ongoing trade speculation, Jovic responded positively. He told Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald, “Yeah, it did. It did help me for sure. You just concentrate on other things. I was just so concentrated on basketball there that I didn’t have time to think about what’s going to happen.” Acknowledging the business nature of the NBA, Jovic maintained a pragmatic outlook, stating, “It’s a business. Holiday, who celebrated his 33rd birthday June 12, went beyond just saying he’s not going to hang up his sneakers after the 2024-25 season. He’s extension-eligible with the Bucks in the winter, and he is open to signing one. “Would love to,” he said. “Before I even won here I think I said I’m a Buck for life and I mean that like deep in my heart. I don’t want to play for any other team. I think we have a chance to continue to do great things as the Bucks team and organization so I want to be in Milwaukee.”

Many players decided to move from the NBA and come to Europe to play. Since you are one of them, let me ask you: why is this happening? Jabari Parker: I just want to be a part of something legitimate. I want to be a part of ‘every game matters’. Sadly, the NBA is a business and there are 10-12 teams that try to win every game and the other half try to get a Draft pick. Where does that leave good players?

It’s no excuse to see DeMarcus Cousins, Dwight Howard, or John Wall, guys who are potentially going into the Hall of Fame… seeing those guys not have a job?
