Mark Medina: The NBA fined the Sixers $100,000 for violating league injury reporting rules. The NBA said it “failed to accurately disclose the game availability status of Joel Embiid prior to their game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on April 2.” The NBA reported “Embiid was listed as ‘out’ in Philadelphia’s initial injury report and subsequently played in the game. The fine takes into account the 76ers’ prior history of fines for violating injury reporting rules.”

New York Knicks center Isaiah Hartenstein has made the most of his chance as a starter and is earning himself a nice pay raise this summer as one of the top unrestricted free-agent centers on the market. Several executives who spoke with HoopsHype believe Hartenstein could command around $13 million a year in free agency this summer, roughly the full non-taxpayer mid-level exception.

Bronny James, the son of NBA superstar LeBron James, will enter the 2024 NBA Draft while maintaining his college eligibility, he announced in a post on Instagram on Friday. The 19-year-old guard, who played his freshman season at USC, will also enter the transfer portal to have flexibility as he works out for NBA teams before making a final decision based on teams’ evaluations.
