Damian Lillard unhappy in Milwaukee?
ClutchPoints: “If Milwaukee loses, I think you need to consider moving Dame up outta there. I’m not talking about his game. He’s not happy there.” Stephen A. Smith on what he thinks the Bucks should do with Damian Lillard if they flame out in the first round 🗣 pic.twitter.com/9szK4EazJR

Milwaukee’s most reliable offense has been Middleton creating midrangers or Middleton/Lillard grifting foul shots. Magic really locked in. That they’re doing this in the third with Isaac taking a breather is a good sign. – 2:50 PM

Pacers up 19 over the Hawks.
The Sixers getting the 6-seed will almost certainly come down to whether 1) Philadelphia can hold down the fort for the rest of this game and 2) Damian Lillard can do better than 1-for-11 from the field vs the Magic. – 2:31 PM

The Bucks-Magic game has significant implications for the East playoff picture. Sometimes too much is made of the concept of momentum, but in that case I think Jonathan Isaac’s successful defense on Damian Lillard on two second-quarter possessions changed the tenor of the game. – 2:14 PM

With 3:03 left in the first quarter, the Magic have gotten back into this game and the Bucks lead, 20-16, now.
The Bucks have been hunting Paolo Banchero on the switch today, like they did in Milwaukee, and he has held up better against Damian Lillard in the first quarter. – 1:31 PM

That’s the “shooting foul” in favor of Lillard that the league supposedly isn’t calling anymore. Picked it up earlier than you’d normally would and shot it from 15 feet on the move, even if there was contact. – 1:20 PM

More on this storyline
Anthony Chiang: The Bucks are listing Damian Lillard as probable for tomorrow’s game vs. Magic. Khris Middleton expected to be available. Giannis Antetokounmpo remains out. Heat needs Bucks to defeat Magic tomorrow to have a chance to move out of the play-in. -via Twitter @Anthony_Chiang / April 13, 2024
The Bucks have too many talented offensive players higher in the pecking order for Portis to get a chance to put up bigger numbers. With Bucks coach Doc Rivers trying to find enough shots and opportunities for Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard and Khris Middleton, Portis’ role is smaller and more specific than other players coming off the bench. He gets opportunities, but the Bucks have many mouths to feed for Portis to put up numbers that could help him secure the award. “But I’m part of making us good though,” Portis argued. “That’s part of it. I’m part of the script, man.” By this point in the conversation, Portis’ gait has slowed to a shuffle. He’s fully engaged in the debate and trying to get to the truth. Three-time All-Star Khris Middleton, who had been listening to the conversation, is somehow moving fast enough with slides on his feet and ice bags on his knees to pass Portis on his way to the bus, but not without a bit of encouragement first. “Talk your s— then, BP,” Middleton added. “I’m trying to tell him,” Portis replied. -via The Athletic / April 12, 2024
