When he wasn’t injured Mitch Garbutt was actually very good for Leeds.

Garbutt vs Wire yesterday - 167m....(and 162m vs Hull last week)

Leeds props vs Wire last week
Merrin - 81m
Cuthbertson - 70m
Singleton - 39m
Oledzki - 35m

Great move Sinfield getting rid of Garbutt.

The Virtual Terrace • Who is the bigger club, Hull FC or Warrington?

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Seen a bit of a debate going on another site yesterday between fans of these two clubs.

If it's agreed Wigan, St Helens and Leeds are the supposed 'big 3' of RL then who is currently the fourth biggest club?

Hull fans said without a doubt it's them whereas Warrington fans insisted they are the bigger club of the two.

To be honest, I'm not totally certain that Albania has an RL team.

If they do still have a team, they weren't involved in the qualifying for the 2021 World Cup, even though the likes of Greece and the Czech Republic have been.

Have you ever watched Leeds??? Our wingers and centres are our forwards. If we move Hurrell to 2nd row he will stand and watch Harry Newman carting ball up the middle.

Well, yes, but I'd guess you'd get the same 'one-eyed' reaction from most fans of all clubs - depending on how it affected them on a particular occasion.

I think that's exactly what it is. The majority of clubs' fans (and indeed chairmen) will always form an opinion of DR based on how it helps/hinders their own side. It'll only be a minority that take a bigger picture view.

We should be applying for the dispensation and looking for a replacement for Brown regardless as it makes no sense to go into a season with spare cap and spare place.

I would hope that JK has made it quite clear to the lads that this might be a bit grubby at times. Swinton have been a bit Rowleyesque and the signing of Jamie Acton is bang on trend.

Acton not named in their 19 this week, but that doesn't always mean it's a guarantee they won't play.

That said, even without the likes of Acton and Barlow in the team, and without any obvious sh*thouses in the side, I've no doubt that they'll end up trying to turn... Читать дальше...

It's a load of rubbish is what it is. You'll need to be an athlete / sprinter to beat whomever it is or have half a pitch start at least. Novelty period wore off already after two matches..

What difference does it make how long or how often you've been going?

If anything, those who go most often have MORE right to point out the mistake.

Plenty of people rely on the numbers, particularly when we're attacking/defending the far end of the pitch, with the player's backs to us.

The difference in my mind was that those who go week in week out would surely recognise our own players, by their features.
Obviously not.

If the inevitable ban happens, who replaces Austin?
Personally think Livett and leave Ratch at FB. Over next 2 weeks they can work together and this at least prepares for a spell maybe further down the line if Austin gets injured. We definitely need a plan B for the 6/7 positions.

Hull KR • Re: Wilkins's comments

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I have heard that Rob and Neil have recently parted company on their business interests outside of Rovers could it be that? Also RC much less active on social media regards Rovers than he had been the last few years.

I thought Wilkin was a Rovers fans from his youth, frustrating that the very start of his career coincided with an era of poor club management/circumstances

Blunders aside, Angela's post match interviews are an absolute atrocity too. She asks the most long winded questions, that could have been asked in about 5 words, and also has a habit of asking the question, answering it herself and then asking the same question again - and it's usually a pretty pointless and bland question that is obviously going to lead to a cliche answer and gives the viewer nothing. Something like;
'That looked like a really tough match, a battle of the forwards, how do you assess the performance on your forwards... Читать дальше...

Leeds Rhinos - southstander.com • Brett Ferres the twitcher

Came across this story from a few years ago... Puts a different spin on the kind of off-season activities associated with RL players, especially those with a bit of a certain kind of reputation like Ferres!

England international Brett Ferres said: 'I live quite close to Fairburn Ings and it's an ideal place to take my young daughter, and I know that a few of the guys have children who really enjoy feeding the ducks!'

How many other Leeds players have unusual hobbies? Читать дальше...

Ferres was in good shape last season, one of the few Leeds forwards playing 80 minutes, even in the heat of the summer. You can argue he wasn't very effective but after being vastly overweight in his first season he addressed that last year.

For the first home game of the season that is pitiful.

The worrying thing is Lenegan seems to be having a lot of influence on how Super League is run, when he has a track record of failure. He is currently running his own club into the ground, who happens to be the 2nd biggest RL club in the UK.

100% with you there Bostwick.

The media, which is predominantly London based are now listening and following the Broncos.

Their importance to Rugby League could be massive if they stay up and more so do well.

If the RL don't want to help directly, why not get the Hearns to promote a few big games to test their capabilities.
