I dont think our forwards are that big an issue, of the 7 props we have 5 are good enough, unfortunately one has been injured most of the year. The issue is how we use them.

I'd have another prop, but it won't matter until we address our issues of attacking in the opposition 20.

Agree with you Dave in both the Huddersfield and Leeds debacles the forwards made metres and gave us a platform but we generated very little from that which is a concern.... Читать дальше...

Wigan Warriors • Next up Salford.

We really need to win this one. Suspensions and injuries may play a part. Personally I would like to see players being played in their preferred positions but it is not likely to happen. Do we hurry more injured players back or give them more time? Do we give the youngsters more game time?

I'm surprised there is no topic (unless I've missed it) on the fact that the RFL are considering in hosting 2 teams that only allow 1 race to play for them.

I wonder if that is the reason they appear to no longer cover our games.

Hull FC - blackandwhites.co.uk • Re: Season over?

Think some of our forwards are excellent - top drawer, sadly we are a couple short, IF Tag had been fit all year they wouldn't have had to play so many minutes.

BH improved defence massively.

Sadly our squad was assembled by LR to play Bradford style rugby - nobody mentions current COVID rules requiring fitter, lighter, quicker players. How the hell could tht have been seen coming ? Sadly we still dont' know next years rules - scrums ? restarts ?

Current squad lacks pace & creativity... Читать дальше...

9,200 on today against Leigh with about 400 Leigh fans. It’s still short of a normal crowd but it was a good step in the right direction.

Yeah, most SL clubs would be rather happy with a crowd of over 9K against a team who had lost all of their 13 league games.

The fans they tried to evict ran back amongst their mates, whatever happened some of the fans were targeted for throwing out. There was an announcement about foul and abusive language so that may what the stewards were acting on.

Orange top white cap guy was the main culprit, tried to hide by putting a black jacket on but kept his white cap on (not the cleverest are Leythers). Shouldn't be hard to identify on the stadium cameras.

I actually think Austin would be great in our team, and I could definitely see him being first choice full back next season, he would give us the running threat that we currently lack from our pivots.

In trying to justify this new proposed set up, Sky saying the poor quality of some games featured raises [at least] three points:

Wigan v Wire was dire - big clubs don't equal good games.

They don't seem to have the same concerns when chucking stupid money at the utterly boring soccerball game.

10 teams playing each other at least 3 times is boring.

If the rumours don't come from Phil Hay, Graham Smyth, or Fabrizio Romano, then they're probably bollox. We were never in for Nandez.

The lad from Huddersfield has been linked, but not sure it's happening. We've been linked with a couple of u23 defenders from Celtic, and that area definitely needs strengthening considering the 23s are moving up to the elite level
