Wakefield Trinity • Proposed Structure 2.0

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

The appeal for the championship clubs will be that they will get more money.

The appeal for the top clubs is that they will get games that will attract more fans.

The appeal for Sky is that the games may be better.

The appeal for the yo-yo clubs (and I include us in that group, as we will become one) is that the drop won't be as disastrous.

The crucial matter will be the voting rights. Ensure a three-quarter majority is required to vote in any change in voting rights and... Читать дальше...

Wigan Warriors • Rumours and signings v9

Losing Zak and Gildart whilst replacing them with Iain Thornley and Willie Isa is utterly embarrassing. We’re replacing 2 quality (both have/had world class potential) centres with a centre who would be in his THIRD stint and is a low SL/Championship quality player and a second row-cum-centre in Isa who hasn’t done badly but plainly isn’t a centre.

And we sit and wonder why crowds are declining? Wonder why we’re falling behind Warrington and further behind Saints? Читать дальше...

With the World Cup cancelled, they should extend the season and reschedule the games to be played.

Cutting out the rest of your whinge list can you tell me:

1. If it's possible to reschedule the Grand Final - the only availability we know Old Trafford has is on 27th November and nobody wants to see the SL season run on that long.
2. When do SL player contracts expire?
3. Do the game's primary sponsors, Sky, want to make this change?

Wigan Warriors • 21 man squad to face Salford Friday

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Sam Tomkins has said in a recent podcast that Tommy Leuluai could be the coach of the year next season. He rates him that highly and said his understanding of the game is exceptional. Sam said he preps for a game and knows what his opposing player will do so plays with that in mind. He said TL does his prep and knows what every opposing player will do!
I mention this for two reasons. Firstly, the Harry Smith discussion above. TL must be working with Smith every day, yet as others have said, his game if littered with basic errors. Читать дальше...

Warrington Wolves • Riley Dean Recalled?

I don't know the background story but I suspect the answer was they moved him because the coach had made him 3rd choice HB. No point leaving him up there.

The back to back champions and current CC holders set down a massive marker today with an easy victory.

That said. It was refreshing to see a team go with their academy players instead of trying to get the game called off or postponed.

Well done Catalans. See you at old Trafford

Is that metaphorically speaking?, because as sure as night follows day, you won't be there personally.

Wakefield Trinity • Magic Weekend

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

With a lot of games getting called off for Covid, could the magic weekend end up been one game Saturday and one on Sunday, with last minute rearrangements of fixtures. I can`t see Superleague risking their money spinner been called off for another year. It would`nt surprise me if they cancelled all games 10 days before Magic so that it has the best chance of completing as many games as possible. I suppose there is always the possibility to finish the season later in the year as there is no RLWC to worry about now. Читать дальше...

Hardaker signing for Cas as per Mick Gledhill on twitter.

That would be a massive blow, he was brilliant early season and I don’t think he’s done a lot wrong for us, with the lack of talent at centre I think we should be trying our best to keep him.

No doubt his worth, as judged by some Wakey fans, will now increase. I'll stick with no thanks opinion though.

Exactly, I’d much rather give Brad Walker a go at 13 if we are keeping him or put Arona back there who did a good job & stop him from flogging his guts out at prop. Maybe sign a new prop, now there’s an idea!

The saints one was very harsh I doubt there was even a second between the pass and the impact it was definitely a punishment of the injury not the act imo I missed the first one

You used a derogatory and offensive word.

That's got nothing to do with anyone being a 'snowflakes'.

Point out where I mentioned anything about people with disabilities....?

Wakefield Trinity • Academy

All the more frustrating for me knowing there are kids busting a gut for this club ,whilst some senior players are just going through the motions .Chester needs to show more faith in these lad and even go down and watch them from time to time as these are the very future of our club.
