Already written 4 letters of complaint Bat
They're just tarting up Alexander Stadium, it will be done on the cheap.
Personally I'd rather have a big new stadium in Eastside by the city centre or not bother at all, but then again, with the additional budget and complexities we probably wouldn't have been chosen, we're the safe option compared to Liverpool.

Agreed, they are a global brand these days.
They are everywhere, any big club became big at some point. Some clubs used to be big and some have been big consistently.
Is the stadium going to be built in perry Barr? If so this is a huge missed opportunity.
If you look how the stadium and regeneration worked for Manchester city what a fantastic opportunity this could be, the wheels area as identified by the porn barons is ripe for regeneration a mile or two from the city center

Really pleased ..the potential benefits to this city even during the bidding process will be of huge value to the local economy. Should we be fortunate to succeed in that bid this city will be develop into a major attraction for all the best reasons. Yes l admit we have a couple of obstacles to overcone including the vile braying on about the ground and a dustmens strike but lets pull together here as brummies, leave the sarcasm to the London media or the jealous Mancs and show them all that Birmingham... This may be old ground but as a bit of fun before "the real ball comes out" again. Who are the 2nd biggest 5 clubs in England (obvs not including the v**la) - assuming that the "big 5" is Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and Everton.
Mine are:
1. Chelsea
2= Newcastle
2= Sunderland
4. Man City
5. Leeds
Was chatting to a Sunderland fan last night who claimed that Sunderland by various... Читать дальше...

Just looked and Everton have won 24 trophies in their history including 9 charity shields. Chelsea have won 21 in the past twenty years (in which time Everton won nothing).

Whilst the increase in wages in quite hefty, I take a crumb of comfort in the fact we managed to clear a significant amount of dead wood off the wage bill.
The below figures for the wages plus contribution to wages by Blues are all guesstimates of course...
G. Stewart (loan)----£12k (Blues pay £5k)
Shinnie (loan)-------£10k (Blues pay £5k)
Dan Cleary (loan)----£3k
C.Trueman (loan)-----£3k
Viv Solomon (loan)---£3k
Fabbrini (loan)------£15k (Blues pay... Читать дальше...
Sold a bass amp this evening - buyer requested a buy it now deal (it was an auction with 4 days to run), wanted to pay postage for 48hr delivery and wanted it shipped tomorrow. Money paid in to paypal. I assumed he was a muso with a gig and his amp had conked out so i started filling in the delivery paperwork when I noticed two things. First there was no phone number to contact him - ok, some people don't like giving out their phone number but couriers like a contact number. Secondly his postcode and street name didn't match. I'll always deliver the guitar if selling or get the buyer to come to me and get cash or transfer sorted, with no bloody fees.
That seems too high to me. Is it a personal pension or occupational (final salary) scheme you're transferring? Also what is the value of the plan being transferred and for what purpose? PM me if you want, I can probably help point you in the right direction.
