Re: Mr Dong Speaks
I wrote a strong letter of complaint to the library about its choice of colours (lighting) not all that long after it opened. It was a disgrace.

☝️to right all fantastic memories for us blues fans , I for one being in my late 40s never ever thought I'd see my blues in Europe, I had doubts growing up if I'd ever see them in a cup final so to see blues win a cup and in Europe I can honestly say I'm happy enough !! But as we all know we always want more so win the feckin fa cup will ya ya bastards lol
Should be our club colours.
Blue and gold. Instead of white.
Like the colours on the library.

In Britain the growth of house can be divided around the "Summer of Love" in 1988/9. House had a presence in Britain almost as early as it appeared in Chicago.House grew in northern England, the Midlands and the South East. Founded in 1982 by Factory Records, The Haçienda in Manchester became an extension of the "Northern Soul" genre and was one of the early, key English dance music clubs.
Until 1986 the club was financially troubled; the crowds only started to grow when the resident DJs (Pickering... Читать дальше...
Maribor (continued)
also seeing a certain top lad who some know as the Arsonist, give an interview in Maribor town square to a Slovenian T.V channel , when asked what the score would be he said Barrymore 4- blues 0 , when the lady interjected to say No No Maribor, he snaps back ,no no Michael Barrymoore 4 Birmigham 0, the puzzled lady quickly asked about top striker marlon King, the reply BIG SHLONG, doubt the interview was aired.drinking with the Maribor firm made good friends.

Take some Durex John, you're clearly going to be up to your guts in flange
I'm no top boy, but I can confirm that Maribor was by far the greatest of the lot.
C.D Nacional. Plane to Lisbon connect to Madeira , what a sight when you see that landing strip, right above the ocean. What a beautiful climate, was staying near the maritmo ground what a sight that was, open air and built by cheap breeze blocks, remember a load of blues on a pirates ship/ bar, right at the front of the harbour having a great time. What a journey up into the mountains with your ears popping... Читать дальше...

But the stand out central midfielder has to be Savage. It's a fallacy to think that he couldn't play or pass just because he was a WUM who got in people's faces. Great passer, phenomenal work rate, desire and drive, dragged team's with him and you knew nobody liked playing against him. Our decline to the first Prem relegation can be traced back to the moment when Savage decided he wanted to go to Blackburn (coupled with Bowen leaving to join Hughes). As soon as the story broke I knew we were in trouble. Читать дальше...
good call with those two.very tidy players
yes,Fahey was very underated imo.Loved him.Barry ferg for me .Always wanted the ball.Savage was brill for us too.Bowyer was excellent as well.Hughes was class.lovely footballer.Thought Fahey had similar attributes to Hughes.
If the manager makes those commitments I expect him to stick to them...
I realise other teams have spent money, I just want to see us actually have a go at it and win some games.
I don't think so. It really is well documented. Summer of 87 and the 5 go to ibiza and that starts it off.
well that was shoved under the carpet
PC G**t and his team were so easy to spot :D, they were the only English wearing long trousers. I asked him why he was wearing long trousers and he told me they weren't allowed to wear shorts. So much for not sticking out like a sore thumb :P

the focus of the acid house / rave scene when it took off was shoom, trip and spectrum (rampling's club, holloway's club and oakenfold's club) they started up after the infamous ibiza holiday.

Liam daish and his trumpet
Ward for his class.
Savage for his energy and often unnoticed quality.
Ferguson for commanding the midfield.
But a bigger mention must go to the over looked players.
Chris Marsden - 5 yard passes and never gave the ball away.
Stephen clemence - just as important a signing as dugarry in that season imo.
Barry Horne - for around ten games probably the best. Then his legs went.
Des bremner - ignored for his previous indiscretion.
