What’s for tea?

Small Heath Alliance

Well moving on from yesterday. As we’ve all sobered up now.

A low fat pasta carbonara from the Tom Kerridge new weight loss book here.

When I’ve finished painting the spare room

Sheffield Unite at home on 21st April is one day shy of our 40th anniversary of our first ever visit to St Andrews.

Feck me we've been through some shit.

Small Heath Alliance

Much of the reaction over the past 24 hours or so on here and elsewhere.

Childish name-calling aimed at opposition supporters.

Moaning about the ref when we were clearly out-played.

Picking on individual players like N’Doye.

Here are the facts: we’re near the bottom of the table and were playing a team who had won six on the trot, hoping to get into the automatic promotion places. Where they play, and where their fans live, is irrelevant, as is the fact... Читать дальше...

Very true villa were the better side but we didn’t turn up and that’s unforgivable in a local derby, the team owed the fans a fighting display and what they got was embarrassing so your bang on with your post . Well done

I don't think we have ever had such an embarrassing midfield trio who fail to do the very basics of trapping and passing a ball.

They make the Dean Peer/Dougie Bell/Kevin Langley trio look like Pirlo alongside Hoddle and De Bruyne.

Just watched bits of the match back, not that we lost because of him, but he was awful and a proper homer.

They were buying free kicks all over the pitch, carding our players too easy and not punishing the vilers.

The bit where Chester heads Davis in the back, he only gets a talking too. Yet our players get a yellow for the little things. Shoddy.

....but for how long? Maybe a little contentious, maybe a bit of a hissy fit kind of a reaction, but this afternoon I thought to myself that I almost don't mind if they do go up (which I believe is now nailed on). I am sick of them, and I'm sick of these games now. I'll look forward to not facing them for a bit.
They've rolled the dice, shit or bust to return to the premier, at stake either survival or financial meltdown. Bigger clubs in the past have done the same and come unstuck, Forest, Sheffield Wednesday... Читать дальше...

Re: Jota

I agree, it's just so odd. For Brentford he was a hero... Clearly full of bags of ability

Signs for us and he looks like he's scared for life and weaker than a four year old

Watching him now is painful

So so obvious and wet on the ball.

Baffles me but just doesn't fit at all into the team.

I'm trying to figure what Brentford did/do so differently

Stick or twist? (12 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

I think our 'staying in the game' mentality that others have alluded to has arguably shifted a bit over the past number of weeks but it was undoubtedly our main objective for quite a chunk of SC's reign. I genuinely think that his tactics, for right or wrong, are to improve the odds for us by ensuring that the modest amount of possession we have is higher up the pitch and to bank on the opposition making errors or one of our scarce talents to conjure something up or a combination of the two. It... Читать дальше...

His defending for their 2nd goal wouldn’t have looked out of place on a school field

Would you make any changes apart from the enforced one due to N'Doyes red?

I would be going with:

Stockdale

Jenkinson
Roberts
Dean
Colin

Keft
Gardner
Jota ( Attacking mid)

Maghoma
Gallagher
Adams
