An Improvement Under Cotterill (20 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

On the 29th September last year, Steve was appointed as Blues manager replacing Harry Redknapp. There has been murmurings of whether he is up to the task or not. Some are still saying he isn't and we should replace him. Since Steve took over the reigns, we have played 21 Read More

Following on from the "best car" thread, a bloke I knew years ago at college had a goggomobile. If he had a passenger, he'd have to get out and walk beside on steep hills, but on the positive side, two people could pick it up and place into a tight parking space

Late fitness test for David Davis ahead of Millwall game

Steve Cotterill says he doesn't know yet if David Davis will be fit enough to be considered for Saturday's home game against Millwall. The midfielder picked up a knee injury during last Sunday's defeat to Aston Villa and was substituted late in the game."I don't quite know at this moment in time wher

Things you think you know more about than anyone else on here (153 replies)

Obviously for some the answer is "everything", but for everyone else - do you think that there's any subject on which none of the hundreds of people who read and contribute to this forum know more than you, either because of your expertise or because it's so niche?

Possible contenders for all time Blues 'Lord Lucan' XI (20 replies)

Players who only made one or two appearances for Blues and then seemed to vanish from the radar.

I'll start with Richie Blackmore - he was the sub keeper who came off the bench and saved two penalties v Stoke in the Texaco Cup around 1973. He never played for us again.

Malcolm Briggs whose claim to fame is the shortest ever Blues career - a three minute sub appearance at Man City in the early 80s.

Ian Brown was another short Blues career - a twelve minute sub appearance at West Brom in the late 70s/early 80s. Читать дальше...

BCFC: FFP D-Day (46 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

March 1st might not seem that important a date in the football calendar - after all, it's a Thursday night and Blues won't be playing that day. However, it is a day that could tell us a lot about Blues future in the next 12 months - and all because of those three dreaded letters, FFP.

Time (12 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Fulham are doing rather well lately, which I'm sure most of us can agree on. This what their manager says in the paper today

“Time in football is important,” Jokanovic says. “We understand a little better, we trust each other, we start believing like family all together.”

You read this sort of thing all the time from people paid to be involved in the game, yet our experts would tell them all that they are clueless dopes. Nobody needs any time to settle in, anywhere, ever. Misplace a pass... Читать дальше...
