Marks the 50th anniversary, to the day, of my first Blues game. This lifelong pendulum of torture and joy (more torture, really, I suppose) kicked off at St Andrews on 24/2/1968 against Aston Villa. We won 2-1, with a goal scored in the very first minute.

Switched onto it late and they had a close up on an electric guitar which I recognised immediately as I’d seen it only last week. Belonging to Kiki Dee’s sidekick ( can’t recall his name, but he’s a fine, albeit rather indulgent guitarist) . Saw the pair of them last week upstairs st Pizza Express in Brum of all places. She was fab.
