I thoughtfully postponed this thread until today, so not to put a downer on such positive day for the football club.
Despite the glorious finale of league campaign, the entire season was still nothing short of a train wreck. We must not ignore this.
Our final league position relative to the money spent on top of the squad we already had was abject failure.
A team with the fewest goals and most defeats would be relegated 99% of the time.

No need to be despondent - I did a quick assessment of the past 11 games and cam up with (on another thread), 'his record in the past 11 games (and we've played four out of the top six in those 11 games) would give us 67 points, 63 goals scored and 63 conceded - which would equate to twelfth in the table. Even with minimal movement in or out of the club, and given a full pre-season, it bodes pretty well for next season. '

Pretty certain Monk will have kept on eye on the players who went out on loan.
With all the loan players going hopefully he gets a chance to shine.
