Frank Worthington (10 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

The story goes that in 1972 Frank Worthington's move from Huddersfield to Liverpool hit the skids when he failed a medical due to high blood pressure caused by having too much sex.

He was apparently sent to 'recharge' his batteries in Majorca, where he enjoyed the company of Miss Great Britain, a Swedish mother and daughter, and an unnamed Belgian woman.

On his return to Britain, he unsurprisingly failed the medical again and joined Leicester instead

His autobiography... Читать дальше...

What really makes a big club?

So why did we let Harry spend all our money on deadline day and then sack him after 6 games only to appoint some marter farker who would then go on to lose more games in the Championship than the actual relegated teams.

46 games season and all that.

Crikey.

This isn't Vince Vaughan jabbering away with Owen Wilson, this is a very different role for him.

The plot is grim with some horrible elements which make you cringe at times by being unnecessarily violent but looking past that it's a really good watch.

The premise is that Vince Vaughan loses his job, becomes a drug runner with a conscience, ends up in side and then as a way of paying back his debt to the cartel he has to murder an inmate. If he doesn't they... Читать дальше...

Got my first (and probably last) mtb 'race' at the end of the month, though tbh more of an event as all me and a pal want to do is finish the bugger alive.
40 miles with around 2,700ft of climbing, all off road on single and double track down at Wantage Oxford, climbing up onto the Ridgeway and dropping back down off it for the whole ride, both on heavy fat bikes, so it'll be tough and will take about 5- 6 hours I'm guessing.
So I know there are a few runners/fitness types on here and I'm... Читать дальше...

I presume that was the Catalan anthem, that was getting booed ?

I’ll be honest, it went on that long, I started booing myself.

No...not the hotel chain

Western movies

I'm sure there are lots of fans of Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, Gene Autrey, Randolph Scott and Roy Rodgers (dubbed King Of the Cowboys)

I do prefer the more recent Westerns though (made last 50 years or less) especially that focus on Billy The Kid and Wyatt Earp , these two figures themselves have spawned scores of Westerns down the decades
