I’d thought he was a spent force and his back had done for him.
However he seems to be swinging the clubs with some freedom and looked good at points at the TPC.

It's hard to blame Root but we are nowhere near good enough. An opener majorly on the wane, and another not good enough. No number 3, no number 5. Too many all rounders. No decent spin (I love Ali but he is regressing. Probably another 1 day player only). 2 main bowlers not got long left and not much else.
I cannot think of another option as captain.

Flights all booked now so just hotel to go. Bewildering amount to choose from, so just looking for the best deal. Have been told that as close as possible to Bellagio is best and that Mandalay Bay is a bit out of the way? Hoping to see the MJ show, but that looks to be about £100 each as well!
