Was sifting through some news articles when I found this

When I checked my dates it came to my attention that I was on the same Canal taking some photos on the same day that these gunpoint robberies took place, a lucky escape?

Seems to be ever increasing problem as various scumbags see these quiet & often deserted places to loiter & target people for crime,
especially the canal from Digbeth towards Star City & the Grand Union through Tyseley.

Real world fuel economy, not the shite the manufacturers spout.

I'll be changing my car some time in the next 8 - 10 months and fancy something a little different but within certain parameters. It has to be an automatic, large and practical with a high driving position, good loadspace, no boot lip and be economical to run. Don't give a monkeys about 0-60 or badge. I'm not sure there's much out there to better my current motor, a Citroen C4 Grand Picasso that returns just under 48mpg and can carry a full PA rig... Читать дальше...

Producing a vintage ride at the moment an 80 km solo break, to be virtual leader of the Giro D'Italia. One more big mountain to do today. To challenge for the lead from nearly 5 minutes back, amazing performance. Shame for Simon Yates, but a Grand Tour is for 3 weeks and not 2 and hopefully he can win one in the next couple of years.

Legendary boxing trainer aged 77. Mad bastard at times and fantastic human being. Done so much for the local community around the Wincobank Gym. Legend is a word banded about a lot, but this bloke was a pioneer in many ways. He trained so many champs with all adoptingb his unique style.
Boxing and certainly Sheffield will be a poorer place without him.

Just wondering what plans for the bank holiday people have.
Based on the weather forecast for glorious weather Mrs davenports and me decided to have a get together for family and friends in the garden, drinks food etc.,
Having seen this mornings complete 180% turnaround of a forecast am sure that will go well !

Think the recent thug down Tyseley was armed with a branch hiding in woodland & jumping out on people, quite traditional in such a modern age.
