After a few recommendations from the great & good of SHA, small group of us heading to Stratford for the day on Saturday for our annual end of season drink up, looking for recommendations for pubs likely to be showing the World Cup games and anywhere that does a decent pub lunch. Getting the train in, having a quick nosey at Google the station doesn't seem a great distance from the centre, been a good few years since I last visited, I have vauge recollections of there being some decent pubs on the waterside? Came across a list of highest ever home attendances on Wiki for all 92 league clubs.
Our 66844 puts us in 15th place overall which I think is pretty good really all things considered.
And to a lot of other clubs fans(and I don,t just mean that shower in B6 ) who like to talk about us as "small time" or "tin pot" we actually have a higher record attendance than Wolves, Albion, Liverpool,Leeds, West Ham,Stoke, Derby, and Leicester amongst others.
Just shows the potential.
