I agree he wasn’t great in the knock out stages. Somebody else posted that he and Sterling lacked their normal confidence when it came to shooting. I think that’s true. Southgate went some way to addressing confidence issues but we are still some way short of other countries. We have suffered from this for years, especially the so callled golden generation. I rate him as well, wasn't he one of the best keepers in the Chumps that season BHA went up?
Needs to improve his fitness granted but I am not overly confident any of our reserve keepers are near enough ready to take the gloves, it be like having an outfield player between the sticks!
