Out thought by Shteve

Small Heath Alliance

Think Maclaren played us at our game, pressed and gave us no time on the Ball. The ball spent so much time in the air my neck was aching! It was a dreadful game but at least a clean sheet and a point, we could have easily come away with nothing. We will have more chance against the Boggies but we have to shackle Gayle!

Referee standards (17 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Today’s referee in my opinion had a shocking 90 mins so bad that I felt he could have cost us the game.
The Juke was getting mauled by their defenders and the officials ignored it time and time again and Maghoma’s yellow card never was, poor decision making and was conned constantly by the opposition players.

Not really a surprise quite a lot of the officials at this level aren’t very good.

Retiring after next week's test

Might not be as good as a few years ago but still one of the best we have so can't see us putting up much of a fight against tough sides going forward anytime soon

A long read but a good one, this scathing review of Jim Davidson's Sinderella panto from the mid 90s had tears of laughter rolling down my cheeks

Definitely worth the investment. Staggering to believe Davidson was ever popular.

When Saturday Comes reviews Tim Lovejoy's autobiography

Hopelessly banal and nauseatingly self-assured, smirkingly unfunny, it’s a £300 T-shirt, a piss-you-off ringtone, a YouTube clip of someone drinking their mate’s vomit. Its smugness is a corollary of its vacuity. I hope it makes you sick.

Best Blues Performance You've Seen (32 replies)

Got the game on, Rakitic just scored a pearler for 5-2. I was down St Andrews yesterday and comparing the two matches, it's difficult to say we play the same sport...

So yeah with that in mind, what's the best performance you've seen from a Blues team? Not just the biggest scoreline. I remember Millwall away in 2011/12 we absolutely annihilated them, 6-0 in the end. Couldn't believe what I was seeing. That was a really beautiful season for many reasons.

People in Football We Hate... (19 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

I've often wondered whether we all hate the same people in football, and why.

For me, it's people like Simon Jordan, Jack Grealish, Gabby Abonglahor, Lloyd Dyer, Dion Dublin - people who either publicly hate us, are greasy little shites, or tend to score against us even though they're an utter talent void.

Ex-staff like Gianfranco Zola and Steve Cotterill also feature - largely because they were shite and took us to the brink of relegation. The latter moreso, as he couldn't see he was woeful. Читать дальше...

Just like to say, love the place. Walking back from the game, bit pissed off, bit frustrated...some great 60's Mod music, not many in...great place.

I suggest some of the angry vilers types on here pay it a visit next game. Relax, we'll be ok.

That political colossus Gary Lineker who thinks he's funny and also thinks we want to hear his views on non-football subjects.

I don't want to hear them so I don't read them. Thought of doing the same?

Can't argue with that, we all need patience because you can see what he is trying to do, he is strong minded and believes in himself, at last we seem to be seeing a style of play (last time we could say that was under GR). Unlike Cotteril who was clueless and Zola who had a plan but was too weak to stick to it.

Editorial: EFL Questions (30 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Its safe to say the EFL are not the most popular people with Blues fans right now, judging by social media. Ive seen everything from calls for the EFL to explain the constraints they have placed against Birmingham City to demands for the Blues Trust to hold the EFL to account.
