Gary and Garry (10 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Two similar situations have occurred at Blues and Stoke and it's interesting to see how Garry and Gary have dealt with it. Both Stockdale and Bauer have been left out of their clubs and both resorted to social media to get the fans onside by talking about how hard they were training and what good shape they were in. Garry said nothing and got on with the job at hand, trusting himself and his decisions. Gary, however, used yesterday's post match press conference to publicly criticise Bauer for 'trying... Our Current Wages: Turnover (2 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Where do we reckon we currently stand?

Last season I heard several figures banded around, the highest being a terrifying turnover:wages ratio of 100:182. Monk and the board did pretty well to shift most of the bomb squad this summer + Ndoye so undoubtedly it will have come down.

Generally a turnover/wages ratio of 100:65 is deemed sustainable, however judging by Swiss Ramble's Twitter feed, most Championship clubs don't meet it.

With several high earners still on the books (Jota... Читать дальше...

Re: Che

Just saw ches two goals, great that he got two shots off but was that a dustbin in a green top in goals for them!
The first was as poor a goalkeeping effort as I can ever recall!
Not knocking Adams, keep shooting!

The perfect follow up fixture to todays game.

This will be the game where we finally rip a team to pieces.

There will be no stopping us after that.

O2 Academy as a music venue (11 replies)

... Or if you’re of my era, The Dome ????

What’s it like for watching a band ? I tend to like watching acts in small venues. I’ve done Wolverhampton Civic, Liverpool Uni Mountford Hall, O2 ‘Institute’ Brum, Llandudno’s The Venue recently, and liked the intimacy of those types of places.

Is The Academy that much bigger ?

Re: Our Current Wages: Turnover

Blues need a wage bill of 10 mill to meet FFP , Stockdale, & jota account for close to 4 mill, that’s not a fact just educated guess.
To get at real facts you need to wait till current accounts are out then forensically dissect them, which is way above my ability level, but sure we have peeps on here who could do it.

Wolves (15 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

On Sunday Supplement they're talking about Wolves building a bigger stadium and saying they have the ability to fill it. They talk about size of the club, size of the fans base and catchment area, and I'm thinking really?

Now, in my lifetime wolves have always been mediocre - a good thirty years we're talking. Do they really have such a big fan base? I just wonder why we are never seen as that sort of prospect. Given that we hold the name of England's second biggest city, you'd think... Читать дальше...

Last 3 games (no replies)

Small Heath Alliance

5 points. 1 cleansheet and only 2 conceded against 3 difficult sides.

Not many of us would've predicted that haul.

With the Ipswich and Rotherham coming up at home and a trip to Stoke to see our old mate Gaz next month (if he's still there!) we could be sitting quite pretty come end of October before impending points deduction.

Hope this is the turning point in our season and we can kick on now.

KRO all ????

Hope you enjoy a good ride with Blondie.

Lee Camp has done ok. Played above expectations. Well Done to him, & long may that continue.

Leeds.... I just wonder ..... I think we might just surprise you. Their bubble is waiting to burst, and our first win is long overdue.

Enjoy the seafood.

Re: Vile

Proper full on divs eh mate. It’s that total delusion that will always set em up for failure. Nothing will ever be good enough so they are destined to keep going around in ever decreasing circles getting unhappier and unhappier and blaming different scapegoats as each shit season passes. Fortunately even a spell in league 1 wouldn’t cure em of their delusion disease. It’s who they are.

What a difference a good manager makes! Last season under cotterill alot of us said it was the manager at the core of the problems and it's proving to be right. You can see we have a plan and players know their roles now finally the complete opposite of last season.

Also would love to of seen Gallagher In this team!
