The perfect follow up fixture to todays game.

This will be the game where we finally rip a team to pieces.

There will be no stopping us after that.

On Sunday Supplement they're talking about Wolves building a bigger stadium and saying they have the ability to fill it. They talk about size of the club, size of the fans base and catchment area, and I'm thinking really?

Now, in my lifetime wolves have always been mediocre - a good thirty years we're talking. Do they really have such a big fan base? I just wonder why we are never seen as that sort of prospect. Given that we hold the name of England's second biggest city, you'd think... Читать дальше...

BluesTV vs iFollow coverage (6 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

I watched the Leeds game on Leeds TV as an international subscriber. They're one of the 15 or so clubs signed up to iFollow. Cost me £5 for a three day pass.

Signed up 10 mins before kick off, paid via Paypal and got coverage working immediately. Good camera work (not Sky or BBC quality, but in my opinion better than what Blues have to offer - note I watched 15 or so games last season on BluesTV). Good replays, score and clock, choice of resolution (I chose low as my broadband is very slow - it buffered once in the whole game)... Читать дальше...

Blues Women continued their perfect start to the FA WSL with a gritty 1-0 win over Reading. It was a game of two halves as Blues dominated the first-half proceedings which was kicked off by a seven-minute strike by Meaghan Sargeant, that was enough to see past the Royals. Blues joint top with Gunners, 3 wins out of 3. Once again, we are the hardest team to beat in WSL1.

We need more fans at both StAns & Solihull Moors. Both teams deserve better support.

Re: BluesTV vs iFollow coverage

Small Heath Alliance

I used iFollow to watch the Sheffield United game. Much better coverage than the Blues TV coverage of the Bolton game - worked from the start, multiple cameras rather than a single camera high up in the stadium, instant replays etc. For future midweek games I can’t get to I’ll also be using iFollow on the oppositions web site if it’s available - it’s just much better and more reliable than Blues TV. I expect Blues TV was the cheaper option to set up but it’s a false economy if the club are going to lose revenue from dissatisfied customers.

Remember how we all thought that winning the Carling Cup and qualifying for Europe would be the making of the club and the beginning of a golden generation?

Two or three days later the stories of Carson’s mismanagement of the club’s finances began to emerge and three months later we dropped through the trapdoor.

Yesterday’s win was brilliant - it had been coming with those stirring performances against Swansea, West Brom, Sheffield Utd etc. Naturally we’re all as happy as the canine with an extra set of sex organs... Читать дальше...

Gary and Garry (3 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Two similar situations have occurred at Blues and Stoke and it's interesting to see how Garry and Gary have dealt with it. Both Stockdale and Bauer have been left out of their clubs and both resorted to social media to get the fans onside by talking about how hard they were training and what good shape they were in. Garry said nothing and got on with the job at hand, trusting himself and his decisions. Gary, however, used yesterday's post match press conference to publicly criticise Bauer for 'trying... O2 Academy as a music venue (10 replies)

... Or if you’re of my era, The Dome ????

What’s it like for watching a band ? I tend to like watching acts in small venues. I’ve done Wolverhampton Civic, Liverpool Uni Mountford Hall, O2 ‘Institute’ Brum, Llandudno’s The Venue recently, and liked the intimacy of those types of places.

Is The Academy that much bigger ?
