Probably cobblers, I know.
Hypothesis: Morro's been told he's not getting a new contract, hence "injury" today. GM wants a younger left footed centre back so prepared to bite the bullet & let Morro go as nobody gonna buy Roberts or Dean on the money they're on.
Probably cobblers, I know.
How’d they do?
If that's the case get rid of Robert's because after all he is a centre back

Gardner would get torn to pieces against any half decent team.

Was it coincidence that Wigan controlled possession when Davis was playing at the base of the diamond but after Gardner replaced him we controlled it.
I'll get pelters for this but Gardner could do that job next season - poor man's Barry Ferguson.
(I'm NOT saying an upgrade wouldn't be preferable)
There may be one or two oldies on here who will be pleased to see Leyton Orient get back in the League, having made the trip down to Brisbane Road in 1972 when we got promoted.
For me Orient was the first game I took my lad to back in December 94(?), the day that Ricky Otto signed on the pitch before KO. We won 2-0 thanks to a very early goal and then a great effort in injury time by Louie Donowa. My son was 7 at the time and he must have thought that we signed a new player before every game and always scored shortly after KO. Читать дальше...
My first night time away game was at their place in the leyland daf semi. Atmosphere was electric. I remember it peed down all night and the away terrace was largely uncovered. From memory we won 3-2 on the night. Great memories. Still my favourite season supporting blues
Think pretty much every side in the top 2 divisions will stay over the night before regardless of whether it's a local derby or miles away
Blues coach is also a luxury one with chef and food served straight after the game
I'd guess the agent who booked the Radisson for Wigan git them a better deal than the rack rate
On my walk from B17 to St Andrews this morning I passed the Marriott Copthorne hotel at Five ways and saw the Rotherham FC coach parked up, (on the way to West Brom).
Then at the Radisson Blu Hotel Smallbrook Queensway I noticed the Wigan FC coach.
Points to note ....both coaches were highly decent and not like the Blues Johnsons/Den Caney charabancs.
Are there no decent hotels in West Bromwich?
Did these clubs travel down the night before or park up for a mid morning coffee? Читать дальше...
The worst possible offense a club can commit is to wilfully fail to fulfill a fixture for reasons that are wholly in house and avoidable. Bolton signed a legally binding agreement to fulfill their fixtures and have failed to do exactly that, and that wholly down to themselves and their bad governance of the club. They have run out of excuses and the reality is, the only punishment that is fitting for the offense, is expulsion from the EFL.
Bolton cannot blame the players as, as I understand it... Читать дальше...
What have been your non-Blues surprises this season ... ?
one of mine has been the excellent performances, form and ability of Salomon Rondon for Newcastle. I honestly though he was a bit of a rather slow clumsy unsubtle donkey at West Brom and was bewildered when Newcastle wanted him .. been very impressed though

100% signing a new 1st choice keeper is top priority. I love him but I also love chicken jalfrezi until the morning after.
