Trueman or Camp? (29 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

All,

In an ideal world we'd go out and get a proven goalkeeper of Prem/Championship quality in January but get the impression that's not going to happen.

Seeing a bit of a clammer starting to put Lee Camp back in goal which has surprised me I must say.

Yes we've shipped a lot of goals during Trueman's spell in goal but can't honestly remember him being at fault for any of them, a lot of them have been defensive lapses, individual mistakes and the odd decent strike. Читать дальше...

When you think of the long list of international and great keepers we have had over the years this thread just about sums up the depths we have now reached.

Whoever is the least bad is our first choice. A 30 year plus journeyman who has a history of calamatous errors and criticism throughout his career and a young kid who cant keep a clean sheet, cant marshal his defence and who was rejected by a non league team when out on loan. Jeez, what a bloody mess we're in.

When I lived in Durham I knew a lad who had a franchise of one of Clarke's "Birthdays" stores. So he had regular contact with him. After some incident Clarke said to him, " I'll end up in Frankland at this rate with wor kid." Frankland being the other CAT A prison within the boundaries of Durham city.

Anyone ever suggested that the board may be buying prospects and names, rather than actual players that we actually need in said positions.

Like trying to bring sunjic in thinking he might go for more money in summer ?

Whilst all the the time gambling on the fact we don't get relegated.

To be fair, the worse side I've seen at St A's this season is Blues

Woodgate

Boro - Worst side I have seen down Stan's this season, Leeds fans said they were the worst team they played too.

Just won manager of the month, hope for Pep?

Some strange things said.

The bad run has been down to Salter and Roberts missing (great for Dean, Harding, Bajrami and GG to hear it's basically because they've played we've not done well)

The past is not important. Victories are for gotten in seconds and minute. Losses within days. Yet he mentions we won last time out about 10 times. And that we've fought relegation the last few years, so being were we are is not so bad as we aren't in the bottom 3. We weren't in any trouble last year though we're we? Читать дальше...

Land Registry.

During the recent publicity about the sale of the ground one or two people have queried why the sale, as required by law, has not been notified to the Land Registry.
The regulations on ACV’s state that, “ Assets that are considered to be of community value and included on the List of Assets of Community Value will remain on the list for five years. A land charge will be registered against the property, land or asset in such cases.” The last sentence may be of some relevance here.
