Re: At Andrews Question (over 50s only)
The seats weren’t segregated for a while after that. I remember sitting in the Railway in the 80s for a Baggies game and the fans being all mixed in even then.

The thread about first games got me thinking.....
In 1979 my dad first took me & we stood on the Tilton near the main stand in the area that became the away end until the ground went all-seater.
I have a vague recollection that when we arrived at the ground it said "visitors only" on the Tilton turnstiles but my dad (who'd not been a regular for some years by then) ignored it cos "this is my part of the ground". I also recall a mix of home & away fans near us but I was... Читать дальше...
A good friend of mine lives in Florida and is a Rowdies season ticket holder, he is telling me that because of their colours they are the sister club of Norwich.
I did take him to watch Blues play so he still has a liking for us.
He also tells me that Rowdies play Legion twice this season.
This is what the Birmingham City boss has previously said about the future of the Blues youngster who is attracting the attentions of Manchester United and Liverpool

Good article⬆️, slightly spolied by the final sentence of this paragraph ⬇️
"If Birmingham Legion FC hosted Birmingham City FC in a friendly, would that be the first international derby in soccer history? What a legendary day that would be. Not sure if the lads from Birmingham, England, could handle our beer, though."

Moonshine down there?

Birmingham City head to Barnsley on Tuesday night, Pep Clotet spoke about that game, the unbeaten run, the departure of David Davis and much more

When I first started going down the Blues, the board included Clifford Coombs, Harry Dare, and Jack Wiseman. Deadly Doug may have been on the board too. I've also witnessed Keith Coombs, Ken Wheldon, The Kumars, The Gollivans, Carson Yeung, and the present regime. Please correct me if I've missed anybody. How do our various boards compare?

Brentford like to play football so is a poor pitch likely to hamper them more than us... Thoughts
At Bristol on a good pitch we played some very good football on the deck, through the middle and out to the wide men.

Kitts Green Fish Bar. Such happy memories. Its the first time she tried a savaloy.
Can you remember the date and year?
Mine was 72, think it was February , Grandad lifting me over the turnstile in the end of the Main stand. He'd had the same seat for years, Blues through and though. I remember him saying something about never changing your colours,
We used to jump on a double decker bus outside the ground (can't recall the number) back to Acocks Green.
Grandad worked at Longbridge and got tickets 30/11/74 to WBA v Oldham, which the Baggies won 1-0
Following weekend, he was given tickets to Blues v Stoke at St Andrews - a 3-0 romp to the away team
For some reason, this then indecisive 6-year-old chose BCFC over WBA
Doh!
Been a roller-coaster ride ever since but no regrets

FWIW thought I’d try and put some much needed facts into this debate.

-Goals: Clotet for 40 against 48; Monk the reverse... Читать дальше...
If you was able to implement one rule or change in the current game, what would it be?
I like to see more retrospective punishment for diving and time wasting. Also, retakes of throw ins where the player has ran half way down the pitch before throwing it
Didn't originally the offside rule start 'If, IN THE OPINION OF THE REFEREE, a player is gaining advantage from being in an offside position, he is committing an offence' - and if you reverted to that, then you'd bring back the 'commonsense' bit.
But then that would mean players and managers accepting the refs opinion.
Phoenix won for Joker last night, (well deserved to) but what has been the greatest acting performance by an actor to walk away with the statue?
Daniel Day Lewis for me for My Left Foot
