My guess it’s taken from Kop side (hence slope towards Railway End/Digbeth), with Tilton to the right and Main Stand opposite. The ‘spire’ you mention was on top of the old school building over the road from The Royal George (now a religious school), but has since been lopped off and the tower covered with flat panelling. The spire is still there on some of the older Main Stand photos taken from the Kop side.
Formerly Tilton Road School. My dad went there in the early 50’s.

This was the last game I took my wheelchair bound old man to before MND completely took away his mobility. Blues had quickly sold out/allocated their share of spaces in the disability zones and I couldn’t get him a ticket from anyway where. In desperation I wrote to Tranmere to see if they could help. Before I knew it, they sent us two complimentary tickets and a nice note hoping we had a good day. On the day we were able to access the Blues section of the disability zone just under the royal box.
