I liked to go to different places in December to get in the mood for Christmas, obviously its a bit different this year so thought about Edinburgh. My mrs has always wanted to go there anyway so kills two birds with one stone. Is it any good? I'd rather go somewhere like Budapest or Krakow but cant really be bothered with the hassle.
It's very pretentious and middle class. People say they like it because everyone else says they like it. But to be honest it's pretty dull. it's got a Sunday afternoon tea at the vicarage type of vibe about it.
Glasgow is miles better.

I've just come back from Ambleside and the Co-op there is literally half empty. There was even a sign in the window apologising.
The one near me at home has been understocked but seems a lot better over the last fortnight.
