1.. they messed up by having a mysterious unknown and undeclared person at the head of it - if they'd been open about the person and it was someone NOT wanted for multiple crimes then they would have been fine, no EFL snooping or doubts

Given businesses are supposed to exist to make a profit, I would suggest it is sub-optimal.
It does not make a profit as outgoings exceed income and cashflow is insufficient to fund costs.
That does not make for a secure future. Indeed Blues existence has depended for some years on the goodwill of a small pool of shadowy people continuing to throw cash at it.....and a Jude Bellingham windfall that depended on the goodwill of him and his family.
