As a blues fan exiled in London, for now, we've had to rely on National rail, Virgin, Avanti etc to get us home over the years. I won't do Megabus.
Currently the journey time is 1 h 26 mins, sometimes quicker.
I can see the point of HS2 but only if it included Manchester and Leeds - look at the state of train travel in Europe, fecking brilliant, mostly. (and we know our train fares are subsidising european train companies).
