We're trying to play expansive football on a squash court at the moment. We have one of the smallest pitches in the 92 and I believe it was borderline for minimum permitted pitch size.

I'd be surprised if they hadn't considered this to give the players a bit more space since Wayne took over.

One for our representatives to bring up at the next Open House, would make a positive difference to the style of play in my humble opinion.

Worth noting, that the football scene back then, certainly wasn't all about matchday. That was a very small part of the week.

I've just listened to the latest podcast in the 'Gangsters' series on BBC Sounds. It's not as riveting at the John Palmer or Paul Massey podcasts but it's chilling to be reminded just how out of control Brum was back then. It makes you wonder just how bad things would have been allowed to get if they hadn't have cocked-up and murdered 2 innocent girls.

I never knew that Rob Rinder successfully defended one of the Johnson crew either.

Too bloody right there should be moaning if we manage to lose our 8th away game on the trot. Our away form is a joke. We are currently 4th from bottom in the Championship away table with 4 points from a possible 27 and a -10 goal difference which is the 3rd worst.

Back in the day I was glad to see the back of Gary Pendrey and Dave Mackay but Ron Saunders appointment was genuinely exciting, I didn't really want Jim Smith to go but Saunders with backing would have made us a top 6 team, we just lacked Garry Mabbutt and Chris Waddle.
