Gary Cooper and Frain are the first real two left backs I can remember “well” but not as good as Grainger
We had a production line of good left backs before then - Mark Dennis, Pat Van Den Hauwe, then Julian Dicks.
Van Den Hauwe won two titles and the Cup Winners Cup with Everton
Yes, Blues were famous for producing top keepers and top left backs. My first remembered LB was Colin Green - a great Welsh International.
