Jeremy Dale - who knows what ? (15 replies)
Here's what i know (before i take a brief break from social media, 'cos someone told me a lie yesterday and i made a bit of a tit of myself) - and none of this is on t'internet - and i'll give some info to Daniel so he can check it all out
Jeremy Dale went to Bishop Vesey's in Sutton Coldfield and was there at same time as my brief time there, and my brother was there then too
Did his A levels there and then went to Sheffield Uni to do a degree in Engineering ... came back and worked for Tarmac, then at the same time was doing a Sales and Marketing Degree. Then went to America (and the rest of his work history Microsoft / Motorola is well documented on t'internet)
Family was from Streetly originally (i think)
Got two brothers ... Roger and Simon
Jeremy played for Sutton United in Birmingham AFA (think he was about 2nd team level) and played centre-half
His older brother Simon was a much better player ... left midfielder .. and also played for Sutton United
I was playing for Paget back then - but my brother was playing for Sutton Utd
All 3 of the brothers also played for Millfield on a Sunday .... (sort of half-decent pub team level) .. think my brother played for them too a couple of times
Last time i saw him was at the funeral of Andy Biddle (very good player, who played for Sutton Town and was well known round Sutton Coldfield) ... Jeremy Dale came over from America for that and paid for the whole wake which was at Sutton Coldfield Cricket Club. Good news is ... he still has that North Birmingham hint of an accent and doesn't speak "all American".
Is he a Blues fan ? ... definitely. Used to see him at matches and do that thing us blokes do ... ie nod, grunt and say "alright?"
Would i say he has Blues' best intentions at heart ? ... Yeah, decent bloke. Can't imagine he'd have any ulterior motives
So that's my knowledge ... there must be others on here who can add to that
