Just wanted to draw the attention of SHAers to the recently launched Birmingham Dispatch, an online local newspaper.
It’s been launched by a local journalist, and former Birmingham Mail employee, disillusioned with that publication’s approach to local news coverage.
It’s been free to read so far, but now they’re hoping to find sufficient numbers of subscribers to make the Dispatch financially viable in its own right, without having to resort to the constant pop-up ads and click bait approach of the Mail.
From what I’ve read so far, it seems a worthy venture, with some really well researched articles so far. I have no personal interest in the paper- just sharing the link below to alert those who might not have yet come across it.
