Tommy Beer: Important/encouraging update on OG Anunoby from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski for those that may have missed it. Speaking on NBA Countdown prior to the Celtics-Knicks game, Woj said he’s been told that Anunoby is “right on schedule” and that there “have not been any setbacks” since OG had a loose particle removed from his elbow on February 8th. Wojnarowski added that the Knicks medical staff will “re-evaluate [OG] at the end of next week, and then the hope is he starts to get back on the court then.”

Do you feel like every team should have their own Udonis Haslem on their team? LS: Yes. At least two or three veterans, that can actually still play, but any veterans that can help the guys. Show them how to play defense, how to move off the court. There’s a lot of situations off the court that guys don’t even know that be hitting them, and they don’t got nobody to talk to. Brooklyn’s starting point guard was forced out of Saturday’s 101-86 loss at Minnesota with a leg injury and didn’t return. His status is unclear. “No, it’s a knee situation. We don’t have any clarity on it yet. We’ll go back and get some tests and make sure he’s OK. I don’t know his availability for Monday,” said interim coach Kevin Ollie, who initially suggested Simmons would be getting imaging as well — i.e., X-rays, MRI exam, etc.
