Michael Scotto: Speaking of money, the Nets are going to have to pay some players. Sean talked about not only looking down the line wanting to attract free agents but also wanting to keep their own. He was referring to Nic Claxton. Looking ahead to his free agency, I’ve been told Claxton is a player the Nets envision as a core member going forward due to his age, defensive ability, and upside. The Nets are preparing to pay him, who’ll become an unrestricted free agent this summer.
