Michael Scotto: I asked Sean Marks after hiring first-time head coaches Kenny Atkinson and Steve Nash if he’d look to hire a guy with previous coaching experience. He said no and that it’ll be a robust search. However, in talking with many rival executives around the league and other sources, there’s a belief that a former head coach would most likely make sense if you’re trying to retool instead of rebuild. Mike Budenholzer is the name at the tip of everyone’s tongue when discussing potential... Читать дальше...
Michael Scotto: There seems to be this false narrative out there that the Brooklyn Nets are building around Mikal Bridges as the No. 1 option. While Bridges is certainly a part of the core, and I’d include Cam Johnson and Nic Claxton – who, again, the Nets want to re-sign in unrestricted free agency – the ultimate plan is to add another star or two around Bridges via trade or free agency while Bridges is on a team-friendly contract for the next two seasons. Bridges said publicly at practice that... Читать дальше...

The Nets are preparing to pay him, who’ll become an unrestricted free agent this summer.

“Personally, I have to keep on pushing,” Antetokounmpo told The Athletic. “If I have to talk more in the film sessions like I’ve been doing all year, if I have to f—ing grab the f—ing board and write something down — if I don’t, I don’t know — but you cannot just let opportunities like this go to waste. “I feel like I don’t want to look back and be like, ‘Damn, I had some great teams and I wasn’t able to get over the hump.’ We have to stop feeling bad about ourselves. I’m tired of this. We have to stop doing that. Читать дальше...
“I am his biggest fan,” Antetokounmpo said. “Good or bad, I ride with Dame until the f—ing end. I ride with Dame. Like I’ve been saying this over and over again. This. Is. His. Team. Down the stretch, he’s going to get the ball. There’s nothing else that we will do. I don’t know how else to put it. I don’t know what else to say.
