Tyler Herro on trade rumors: 'I always wanted to be in Miami'
Meanwhile, Herro was left in limbo, uncertain what his future might hold. He said he barely heard from anyone with the Heat front office or any of his teammates as rumors swirled. He assumed he’d be with a new team once the season started, but had no idea which one. “I always wanted to be here (in Miami), but it was something new coming every day,” Herro said. “I just kept telling myself to be patient until the Dame stuff was settled.”

Sunday, Lillard scored 14 points on 3-of-10 shooting in his Milwaukee debut, a game that was airing on an interview-room monitor as Herro entered for his postgame interview after his 30-point performance. “I mean, I’m always ambitious and motivated,” he said when asked if this season stands somewhat as Herro against the world. “That kind of drives me into who I am. That’s who I am.
