Jarace Walker joins Under Armour
Indiana Pacers rookie forward Jarace Walker is officially with Under Armour. The 2023 lottery pick is joining a group of NBA players including two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry by becoming an Under Armour athlete. “It means the world, honestly,” Walker said of joining Under Armour in an exclusive interview. “Just being from that city, the headquarters being in that city, and then I was always with the Baltimore team until college really. Played AAU [in the] Under Armour circuit, went to IMG academy, an Under Armour school… It just felt like the right thing to do.”

The Pacers rookie was split between the Curry 1 Low and Curry 4 when deciding on his favorite basketball shoe. He played his high school basketball at IMG Academy, and Under Armour is the footwear and performance apparel sponsor of the program. Walker’s Under Armour roots run deep, and he now gets to represent the brand. “We’re thrilled to have Jarace continue to represent what it means to be an Under Armour athlete,” said Sean Eggert, senior vice president of global sports marketing at Under Armour. What did you make of first-round pick Jarace Walker at summer league? Myles Turner: I like his mentality. I really think he’s coming into this with a youthful exuberance and that’s actually very important to the locker room. That fresh mindset that he brings into it. He just has to learn a couple things, but he turned it on when he needs to. I tell people a lot, he kind of reminds me of an old teammate of mine in Thaddeus Young — a utility guy who can go out there and do a little bit of everything.
