Bruce Brown: Tell Nuggets general manager Calvin Booth that I love him
Bruce Brown will get his own mini ceremony on January 14 when the Pacers play in Denver, the second stop on a six-game road trip. Starting Wednesday night against the Washington Wizards, he’s tasked with helping the Pacers move the culture forward, setting the tone defensively with Myles Turner and winning games. Oh, one more thing. As he wrapped up talking with local reporters on Tuesday, Brown had something else to say. “Also, tell (Nuggets GM) Calvin Booth that I love him,” he said walking off and moving forward.

The togetherness, unselfishness, and how his Nuggets team piled up wins while some others questioned whether they could win it all. The NBA tipped off another season Tuesday night in Denver and Bruce Brown was away from his former teammates. He was in Indiana preparing for their opener, but watched intently on ring night — the final celebration for what a team accomplished the previous season. “I actually just texted the guys,” Brown said after Tuesday’s practice, hours before the jewelry was distributed. “I’m going to be watching.
